MINOR SURGERY

Friday afternoon by arrangement with a doctor. Minor surgery procedures include excisions (ie. removal of ingrowing toenails and moles), joint injections, aspirations (ie. drainage of cysts).  Your doctor will refer you to the minor surgery clinic and you will be sent a letter inviting you to attend.  Minor surgery procedures are performed at the surgery.

Diabetic patients will be routinely recalled to the Diabetic clinic which are held on either Monday afternoon orFriday morning.  New diabetic patients will be invited to attend an educational diabetic session held at the surgery

POSTNATAL AND BABY CHECK

You will be invited to attend for your Postnatal examination where your baby's 6 week check will also take place at the same appointment.

immuniseCHILDRENS IMMUNISATION SCHEDULE

  • 2 months - Diphtheria/Whooping Cough/Tetanus (DPT) Polio, Hib, Pneumococcal
  • 3 months - Diphtheria/Whooping Cough/Tetanus (DPT) Polio, Hib, Meningitis C
  • 4 months -Diphtheria/Whooping Cough/Tetanus (DPT) Polio, Hib, Meningitis C, Pneumococcal
  • 12 months - Meningitis C/Hib
  • 13 months - Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR),Pneumococcal;
  • 3-5 years - Diphtheria booster Tetanus booster Polio booster
  • 13 years - Tuberculosis
  • 10-14 years (girls only) - Rubella
  • 13-18 years - Diptheria/Tetanus/Polio booster

If you have any doubts about any of the immunisations please speak to either your doctor or the practice nurse.

ANTENATAL CLINIC

pregnant_stomach.jpgIf you think you are pregnant consult a doctor as soon as possible and they will advise you about arrangements for your maternity care. There are three sessions each week attended by our midwives and all partners provide maternity care.

FAMILY PLANNING/CONTRACEPTIVE ADVICE

Family planning advice is provided by appointment. There is no set clinic time so please arrange an appointment with the practice nurses.

ASTHMA CLINIC

Asthma appointments are available with the practice nurses throughout the week, your doctor will advise you whether you should attend. Please make an appointment for the asthma clinic at reception.

LEARNING DISABILITIES HEALTH CHECK

Adults who are accessing learning disabilities services are offered an annual health check. Further information is available from the receptionists.
